Linux Tails Bootable USB [8-32GB] – Anonymous Internet Access & Privacy-Focused Operating System
Linux Tails Bootable USB [8-32GB] – Anonymous Internet Access & Privacy-Focused Operating System
Couldn't load pickup availability
Tails is a privacy-focused, amnesic (non-persistent) operating system that runs entirely from USB and leaves no trace on the computer. All network traffic is forced through Tor for anonymity. Perfect for secure browsing, sensitive research, whistleblower workflows, and privacy-focused use cases.
By default, this listing loads Tails in Non-Persistent Mode (clean session every time). If you want to save files, settings, bookmarks, Wi-Fi credentials, or PGP keys across reboots, under "Software features", select “Persistence Storage Capability (32GB USB)” above.
Learn more about how persistence works in Tails here: how persistent mode works .
🧰 What You Can Do
- Browse anonymously — all traffic routed through Tor.
- Use a clean OS session every time in Non-Persistent mode.
- Optional Persistence Capability — save files/settings if selected at purchase.
- Access sensitive documents privately without leaving traces.
- Use encryption tools such as PGP included with Tails.
- Work safely on untrusted computers with a secure Linux environment.
📦 What's Included
- Bootable Tails Live USB — privacy OS with Tor-based routing.
- Dual USB-A / USB-C connector flash drive (USB 2.x, works in USB 3.0 ports).
- Non-persistent Tails (default) — clean session on every boot.
- Optional: Persistence Storage Capability (select the 32GB Persistence variant from the listing options).
- Basic boot keys & instructions.
- Packaging: standard (Clear Box) or gift (Tin Case).
💻 Compatibility & Requirements
- Systems: x86_64 (64-bit) PCs capable of USB boot (UEFI or Legacy BIOS).
- RAM: 4GB recommended.
- Wi-Fi support: Some chipsets require the Persistence variant to store custom drivers.
- Some hardware (Wi-Fi chipsets, Secure Boot, brand-new systems) may need additional steps. Not for ARM/M1/M2/M3 Macs.
⚙️ How to Boot
Insert USB, power on, press your boot-menu key (F12, Esc, F10, F2, Del, etc.).
Select the USB device and start Tails.
If using the Persistence variant, set up encrypted storage after booting Tails (guided steps included).

♻️ Give Your Old PC a Second Life
Tails can run even on older PCs, turning them into secure, temporary-use privacy machines without needing to modify the internal drive.
Why This Matters
- Lets older computers operate safely without relying on outdated OS installs.
- Gives old hardware a privacy-focused role.
- Reduces electronic waste.
How This USB Helps
- Runs completely from USB — nothing is installed.
- Provides a clean, secure OS session every time.
- Works even if the internal OS is corrupted or slow.
🔧 Customizable USB (Optional)
Tails itself cannot be modified due to its strict security design, but the USB can still be customized in other ways:
- Adding other Linux OS entries alongside Tails (separate boot options).
- Including extra non-Tails tools stored outside the Tails partition.
More details in our customization guide:

Tails cannot be modified; custom additions are separate from the Tails environment and do not affect its security model.
