Windows 10/11 Installer

Bootable USB Install / Repair UEFI + Secure Boot GPT / MBR

Overview

Boot this USB to install or repair Windows 10 or Windows 11. Supports clean installs, in-place repairs (keep files/apps when eligible), disk partitioning, and driver loading during setup. Works with modern UEFI/Secure Boot devices and many legacy BIOS systems.

Quick Start (Clean Install):
  1. Enter your PC’s boot menu and choose the USB (prefer the UEFI entry on modern systems).
  2. At setup, pick language/keyboard → click Install now.
  3. Enter product key (or click I don’t have a product key and choose your edition).
  4. Choose Custom → select target drive/partition → use Drive options if you need to delete/create/format.
  5. Continue → device will reboot multiple times → complete OOBE (user, network, privacy settings).
💡 Tip: Have Wi-Fi/LAN drivers handy. Windows 11 typically requires UEFI, Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0; Windows 10 is more flexible on older hardware.

Use Cases

🆕 Clean Install (best performance)
  1. Back up files from the target drive.
  2. Boot from USB → Install now → choose edition matching your license.
  3. Pick Custom → select destination partition or unallocated space.
  4. (Optional) Drive options → Delete old partitions → Create new → Format → Next.
  5. Finish setup and OOBE. Install chipset/storage/network/GPU drivers after first desktop.
🛠️ In-Place Repair / Keep Files

  1. Boot normally into Windows (if possible). If not, use the USB and choose Repair your computer → Troubleshoot → Startup Repair.

👤 Create/Use a Local Account (Windows 11)
  • During OOBE, when asked to connect, you can choose an Ethernet/Wi-Fi connection and sign in with a Microsoft account.
  • Some editions allow a local account option (varies by version/edition); once on the desktop, you can add local accounts in Settings → Accounts.
Note: Policies can change with new builds—follow on-screen options for your edition.

Troubleshooting

🧿 UEFI, Secure Boot, and Boot Mode
  • Prefer UEFI + GPT for Windows 10/11. Keep Secure Boot enabled when supported.
  • If the USB appears twice in the boot menu, pick the UEFI entry. Legacy/CSM is for older hardware only.
💽 “Windows cannot be installed…” (GPT/MBR)
  • UEFI install → target disk must be GPT (diskpart → list disk → select disk N → clean → convert gpt).
  • Legacy BIOS/CSM → target disk must be MBR (convert mbr).
  • Warning: clean erases the disk—back up first.
🔐 Windows 11 Requirements (TPM 2.0, Secure Boot)
  • Windows 11 generally requires TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and supported CPU.
  • If your device doesn’t meet requirements, install Windows 10 instead (supported on more hardware).
🌐 No Network After Install
  • Install LAN/Wi-Fi drivers from the motherboard/PC vendor.
  • USB-to-Ethernet adapters can help if native NIC drivers are missing.
🔑 Activation / Edition Mismatch
  • Make sure your installed edition (Home/Pro/Enterprise) matches your license.
  • Use your legitimate product key or digital entitlement to activate.
